Climate Corps Bay Area Now Recruiting

Climate Corps Bay Area Now Recruiting

Erica Kudyba presents the results of her water conservation and benchmarking project for the San Mateo County Energy Watch program.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to attend a delightful event sponsored by our friends at Strategic Energy Innovations (SEI), a 501c3 corporation that develops and delivers solutions that help communities achieve their sustainability goals.  SEI’s Climate Corps Bay Area program offers a 10-month fellowship program for our next generation of climate protection leaders.  Each Fellow is sponsored by a Program Partner and helps to implement the Partner’s portfolio of climate change resiliency activities.

Yesterday’s event marked the successful culmination of the 2013/14 program year. Industry professionals from all sectors were invited to meet the 25 Fellows and their mentors, and view poster boards that described the Fellows’ achievements in reducing energy and water consumption, waste and greenhouse gases over the past year.

Recruitment is now open for both Fellows and Program Partners for the 2014/15 program year.  You can learn how to participate here.

Congratulations to Cyane Dandridge, Steve Miller, and their SEI colleagues for developing this wonderful program.

Congratulations, also, to the 25 graduate Fellows of the Climate Corps’ 2013/14 program  – we look forward to learning about your continued great work!
